And...since it was a B & W movie, the color didn't matter -- it just had to have the consistency of blood. I always thought it was red corn syrup -- I've heard that's what they use nowadays in blood scenes for TV, but usually that blood doesn't have to "flow." OK, I gotta get back to chocolate as food.
@vegforlife - chocolate syrup is used because it apparently flows - and mixes with water - the way blood does. Ketchup would not - it's an entirely different consistency. And real blood? That's just gross :-)
@DiscoverChoc, I watched that movie fairly recently. Interesting to know that chocolate was used in the shower scene instead of blood/ketchup.
