How to Make Your Best Holiday Cookie Challenge Allergy Safe


First up we’re going to visit Yammie’s Glutenfreedom. She has created delicious Chewy Coconut Sugar Holiday Cookies that will knock your socks off. Notice our gluten, milk and egg free variation on the theme. These cookies are soft and chewy. Just add some red and green sprinkles and you’re set for any holiday party.

  • ½ cup butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp club soda
  • ½ tsp vanilla
  • 2 TBSP vegan egg plus 115 ml ice cold water mixed well
  • 2 cups bobs mill gluten free 1 to 1 flour
  • 1-1/4 cup blended gluten free oats
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • 4 oz Hershey bar grated
  • 6 oz chocolate chips


  1. In a blender blend oatmeal until it’s a fine powder, set aside.
  2. In a large mixing bowl cream together the butter and both sugars. Then add the Vegan Egg and vanilla.
  3. In a separate bowl mix together Oatmeal powder, GL flour, salt, baking powder and soda.
  4. Add in Hershey bar and chocolate chips.
  5. Roll into balls and place on cookie sheet 2 inches apart.
  6. Bake for 10 minutes @375
