Lately I have seen lots of press questioning the quality of frozen foods. To me frozen foods are a great source of nutrition and convenience. While there are some products that do contain preservatives that might be wavering on the unhealthy side, frozen vegetables are clearly a great source of nutrition. In our hurried world of cooking dinner on the go and trying to balance busy lives of children, work and extra activities they do serve their purpose well. They allow for longer shelf life than fresh vegetables and they also allow for putting quick meal options together when needed. Not to mention they also are much cheaper than fresh equivalents.
